GRL 2015 Pre-Orders

It's that time of year again: GRL!! That's GayRomLit Retreat, for those who don't know. It'll be held in San Diego this year and my cousin Thora and I are going. I can't wait to feel some actual sun on my skin. The weather in Iceland has been horrible this year. And I've been inside most summer...which is entirely my fault, but I've been writing (you heard me!).

Zathyn, Sam, Katie, Thora and I are doing a theme for the costume party. I already have my costume ordered ^.^ I'm going to bring the same SWAG from last year: postcards, bookmarks, short story paperbacks, and Icelandic candy. What's different this year is that I'll have a publisher table along with 19 other authors. I'll have my MLR books and my Ice Cave book there. We're calling it an indie pub table, even though it's also for books from publishers who aren't selling at the retreat. I haven't worked out the price for each book yet.

For those who are interested in buying paperbacks at a reduced price can order from this pre-order sheet. It's only for those who will be at GRL since I'm literally hand-delivering the books at the retreat. I've added short descriptions beside each title, but you can go to these pages to read more: Boston Boys and College Fun and Gays.

Because I'm going as a featured author, I did a guest post for Elisa Rolle a while back. I've been so busy trying to finish my next novel that I didn't have much time online, but I'm linking it now. I'll have three other guest posts on other sites leading up to GRL.

GayRomLit 2014 SWAG

Last year, I brought around 50 copies of Hot Hands and put them on my SWAG table. They ran out like hotcakes and I was immediately sold on the idea that it was great and keepable SWAG. I'm bringing another 50 copies this year. It doubles as original art by Zathyn Priest, and since he'll be there too as an author you could try to bribe him to sign it as well.

For the book signing event, I will have free copies of The Walls Have Ears. I might even throw in a little something extra for a super fan or three (first super fans come, first super fans get!). Additionally, I'm looking into bookplate stickers for those who have my paperbacks at home. Just come see me at the book signing and I'll sign one for you.

I'm still undecided if I'm going to bring any books to sell, but if I do, it'll only be of Black Hurricane and it'll cost $14.50 (with sales tax). This is because all sales will have to go through an on-site vendor that charges 25% commission for every sale.

This doesn't mean you can't get Black Hurricane and my other books at the usual GRL-discounted price. I get my books cheaper from my publisher and I'm happy to sell them to you through the pre-order form below. Once I receive your payment through PayPal, I will set aside a book for you and deliver it to you at the conference.

As for other SWAG, I'm bringing postcards, character cards and bookmarks:

GayRomLit 2013 SWAG!

Hi guys :)

I've been preparing for GayRomLit 2013 and the massive SWAG I'm bringing. You'd think I'd had months to do this but somehow I've left a lot of it to the last minute.

Curious about my SWAG? This is what I have from last year, minus the colorful one with the old covers:

Here's what I'm bringing on top of that (I don't have them in my hands yet, so I'm just posting the SWAG art:

Character Cards:

(Sorry about Jazz's hair, I ended up doing it myself >.< I know he looks like a badly Photoshoped Fabio)
 (back)

Then I have individual postcards of all the Boston Boys novels and the College Fun and Gays short stories:

I have Icelandic candy again, only different this time.

Finally, I'm bringing about 50 paperback copies of Hot Hands to give away:

Yup. I figured it would be awesome SWAG and they're not that expensive to print in comparison to other things. For those who can't make it but want one, it's $3.99 on CreateSpace and Amazon. I have a copy in my hands and it's a cute little book of 32 pages of the story + some extra pages. I'm so pleased with it. I will probably make the other College Fun and Gays books available in print as well (in fact, I'm bringing a few copies of one as special prizes), but it'll take time. If people don't want them in individual copies, they can also be bought as a bundle.

Got SWAG?

Hi guys,

I'm being brief again. Still trying to catch up on everything.

I'm going to make a post about my GRL SWAG soon, once I've uploaded the pictures. In the meantime, you can win one of each SWAG I had (except the candy - I'm all out) by visiting Beauty and Books and do their Rafflecopter thing. If you're an M/M reader, I might throw in signed SWAG from another M/M GRL writer ;) Oh yes, I brought a bunch of extra with me. It says on B&B that the SWAG is USA only, but it's international from me.

So, Thanksgiving. What am I thankful for?

My sons.
My family.
My GRL trip!

GayRomLit SWAG

Wha! Lex Valentine just finished making my collector cards for GayRomLit. I'm ordering them tonight and pray that they're ready before the convention starts. Lex is also making a double-sided bookmark for me.

I'll be making more SWAG posts as the convention nears. There's some already in ABQ at a fellow author's house and some on its way. I think I may have gone a little overboard, but this is my first time! Besides, if I go home with a suitcase full of SWAG I'll have some for the next conventions I attend (and stuff for giveaways!).

So, here are the collector cards that will be available (for free) at GRL:

...and Eric at the very top of this post.
